The owner, Jim Sorlien, started in the auto repair business in 1975 and purchased Muffler Doctor & Auto Clinic in 1989. Jim has personally mentored and trained many employees during that time, some of which have gone on to start their own businesses.
Our employees grew up and live in the community and have been with us for over 20 years. Cottage Grove is pleased to announce that we were recognized in Twin Cities Consumers Checkbook magazine in 2008 & 2009 as a top auto repair shop out of 366 local shops. We have also completed exhaust systems for cars sold at the Barrett-Jackson auction.
